Friends, we are just days away from celebrating the beginning of a New Year! As we look forward to the year ahead, let’s also consider the value of life. The value of your life and the power you hold to really make a difference. You might have read that and thought, ‘what could I do to make a difference?’ There are so many ways! It begins with belief. Share a smile, give a hug, find creative ways to utilize your resources and talents!
I want you also to realize you can make a life-saving difference so easily in the life of a baby or toddler. You can really and truly save a life. It doesn’t require a passport or plane ticket and it doesn’t take a lot of money. Actually for just $38 per month you can feed and shelter a little one in Africa or Cambodia.
We are also raising funds for Ebola orphans. They are little people who have lost the most to this epidemic. Some of them have lost both parents and siblings. We heard the story of one four year old little girl who lost her father, sister and brother to Ebola. She then traveled to a hospital with her mother and watched her as she slowly lost her life to Ebola. The nurses reported this little girl would make her bed each day, feed her mother, wash her soiled garments and give her medicine. Now she is alone in the world.
Let’s spread the story of redemption. Not only among our family here, but let’s actively spread it, tangibly spread the story of redemption…Genuine love to these babies, and Ebola orphans, those in protection of our NightCare Centers, as well as in our malnutrition clinics. I’m telling you that when we do this, we are bringing life! We are bringing NightCare! We are bringing hope! We’re bringing the future! We’re bringing redemption in a physical, tangible way!
Begin your year with a resolution to change the world. To save one life! To join us in our fight against infant mortality. They aren’t just statistics and numbers, these are precious little lives!
