Helping babies and toddlers in Angola
A family’s journey to care can be long. Saving Moses supports therapeutic milk and malnutrition care in Angola, and BirthAid work reported alongside local partners. These programs help clinical teams respond to vulnerable babies, toddlers, and mothers.

Therapeutic milk and malnutrition care
Our Malnutrition program helps supply therapeutic milk and nutritional support for babies and toddlers affected by severe acute malnutrition. Treatment is provided by clinical teams, with care matched to each child’s needs.
Keeping supplies available matters. In her September 2026 account, founder Sarah Bowling describes the effect of a past interruption in the therapeutic milk supply and the relief when it resumed. Read her firsthand account of why consistent supplies matter.
Families behind the work
In an August 2024 visit to Angola, Saving Moses team member Tanya Lasko met parents who had traveled for hours to find care. Natalia and Paol brought their daughter Lurdish on a six-hour journey to the clinic. When Tanya met them, Lurdish had recovered and the family was preparing to go home.
That report also describes the support families give one another during treatment, the involvement of fathers and grandparents, and the clinical teams’ difficult daily work. Read A Breath of Fresh Air in Angola.
Reported activity in FY2025
The annual report covers June 2024 through May 2025. For Angola, its malnutrition-clinic table records 8,522 babies served and 1,221 inpatient babies cured, using the report’s category labels.
The categories describe reported activity and should not be added together as a unique-child total. Read the FY2025 annual report (PDF) for the full table, including the challenges and outcomes reported.
BirthAid and local collaboration
The FY2025 BirthAid table also reports activity in Angola, including training skilled birthing attendants. The report explicitly states that Angola’s BirthAid numbers are combined with other partners.
That distinction matters: these are shared program results, rather than a claim that Saving Moses alone delivered every service. Our impact summary keeps the reporting period and partner context next to the figures.
